@PhantomMenace84 I don't think you understand the premise of the game. Your choices shape the story. So if you don't want something your children shouldn't see, don't ask your character to do it.

I'm all about developers wilding out in any aspect of a game as long as its given the appropriate age rating and I'm glad that it doesn't seem Sony is interfering and forcing some form of censorship. That said, it also seems like all they're selling is the sex. Obviously that was a part of The Witcher and Cyberpunk, relationships a huge part of Bioware RPGs, so that's all cool. But as much as I enjoy over the top elements (the violence in MK or 360 era Gears of War, what seems like crazy relationship situations in this game), I need substance to back it all up and maybe I've just missed but it doesn't seem there's been much talk about BG 3's gameplay or anything else. Guess I'll have to wait for some reviews before deciding if this will be worth a full price purchase, or, if it's worth one at all.

@Gamer83, I think the honest answer is that cutscenes and exploration look more appealing, which is why you haven't seen much focus on gameplay in trailers. Combat is turn-based and played at a much slower pace than The Witcher or Cyberpunk, it just doesn't 'look' that good to mainstream audiences, you know? Loving the gameplay and combat myself, will do my best to put into words why when it comes to PS5

I think PushSquare are getting a little obsessed now with the sex parts in this game.

@PhantomMenace84 Trophy list is out (based on Steam achievements). Appears to be a lot of missables and one for completing the game on "tactician" difficulty.

I had a girlfriend who done basic voice work for a bunch off Hentai stuff, she used to say it was never weird or awkward just really hard to not burst out in laughter with it.

@Khayl I have no issue with the sex stuff, it’s just weird that there is so many articles on it, yet not really any on the actual game

I'm only just learning that it's an RPG game. I was thinking it was more of a strategy or tactical game. Somehow the release of this game had completely slipped past me,but with the positive reception, I should probably look into it.

I didn't even realize it was turn-based so thanks for that bit of info. Outside of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Lara Croft Go, I can't say there's too many turn-based games I enjoy, though I won't completely write anything off before learning a lot about it. Looking forward to seeing what you think of the PS5 version of Baldur's Gate 3.

I like that people complain about genitalia (something we all have) and sex (something completely natural) but guns, violence, drugs etc is fine.

I cannot wait to disrobe and pleasure myself whilst enjoying Baldur's Gate 3. I'll for sure be adding to it's ingenious sound effects. No intimacy coach needed.

How about an extensive introduction to the world of Baldur's Gate & D+D, and maybe some potential gameplay and gameplay mechanics tips for turn based RPG's and the like.

Help those of us that are completely new to the genre get our feeble minds around it before regretting our purchases next month, as this type of thing is fairly new to consoles in the mainstream 😃 and a lot of people (I'd imagine) will be playing this as there first ever D+D and turned based experience, and it's a little daunting 😱

@Ravix, we'll cover a lot of world and system stuff in guide content, gameplay will get a LOT of focus from me in our PS5 review. And I'll stop writing them when you all stop showing up to read them!

@Khayl yeah, the full on guides I tend to skip, incase they are too hand holdy, or too spoilery, buuuut, I shall look forward for your review with great intent.

I've seen some gameplay, but honestly I think it's one of those where it isn't great to watch, as there are so many things to click on, and unless it's you doing it yourself it's hard to grasp what the person is doing or why, and you can't do simple things like hover over tooltips when just watching footage. But in review form, you will obviously be able to say what works for you, what doesn't etc, etc. And also, how it translates to PS5, which is the important thing.

And also, I imagine you will include a good bit of background info on the world and setting etc. It could even be cool if you do a pre-review article with an introduction into the world or something like that, to later set up your review 😉

It feels like this is a huge moment in gaming, on the back of an already epic year, and for this releasing on PS5 it just adds that little spice as a juxtaposition of Starfield on Xbox.

@PhantomMenace84 There's a pretty simple solution to all of this: Don't play it. Don't even read about it. Not every game is made to appeal to every person. This one isn't for you? Shrug it off and move on.

Also, I'll say again for anyone looking for in-depth game mechanics: There are a lot of great videos with the devs on YouTube covering every aspect of gameplay if you seek them out.

In the pc version the game characters can be nude all the time, even the dialogue acknowledge it, and there's no protest whatsoever either from journalist or twitter, it's kind of strange. While I'm sure if squareenix make nier automata 2 and there's option to make 2B fully nude, all the game journalist and twitters freaks will freakout and whine about it.

And before you all get your pitch forks and torches...I like sex as much as the next person (with my wife) but porn is a destructive cancer on society and is scientifically proven to be extremely damaging to the human mind. Thats why I dont support it being in games or anything else.
