NBA 2K23: Best NBA Team to Pick for Point Guards

NBA 2K23: Best Point Guard Builds

Wondering what's the best NBA team to pick for Point Guards? Once you've finished with your Point Guard build, you'll need to select an NBA team to get drafted to in order to begin your MyCareer. While you can go ahead and pick your favourite franchise if you want to, we do have a few recommendations for you, based on existing rosters and how you can best complement them:

  • LA Lakers: Russel Westbrook is a good player, but with a pretty low rating, you should be able to take his spot in the starting lineup. Consider that you'll be playing with Small Forward Lebron James and Center Anthony Davis in LA, so there's huge upside to selecting the Lakers.
  • Miami Heat: At 36-years-old, the Heat's current point guard Kyle Lowry is getting on a bit, meaning you should be able to displace him fairly easily. You'll be playing alongside Shooting Guard Tyler Herro and Small Forward Jimmy Butler, so will have plenty of potential to assist and make a run for the playoffs.
  • New Orleans Pelicans: With generational talent Zion Williamson in the Power Forward position, the Pelicans are a great fit for any rookie Point Guard: just throw the ball up and rack the assists. It helps that existing Point Guards on the roster, like Jose Alvarado, are pretty low-rated and should be easy to displace.

Ultimately, it's up to you which team you pick, but you'll want to consider the talent around you in order to maximise your progress and earn your Badges as quickly as possible. As a Point Guard you'll be looking to score and assist as much as possible, so keep these important factors in mind before selecting your franchise.
